Yesterday, I finally watched The Leap Years at TM!!! Indeed, it was a really good show; heart-wretching story line. I think they picked the right people for the right characters! Especially Li-Ann's besties. =DD
After the show, we jalan around the place then I went for the TPDE concert!!! =D
Ok, overall, the show was great, but I don't think it's worth $15 at all. I think paying $10 would have been better.
The first half of the show was not good. Now, allow me to critic as it's one of the few things I am good at. =DD
First half of the show Ok, comtemporary blew me away. I was really impressed by the whole thing. In fact, their opening number nearly made me cry. (Keyword there: nearly.)
However, there was one dance under comtemporary where there was this girl who didn't know her steps well enough. Her timing was always off, and I have a feeling that she was standing at a wrong position in the show. Work on that, sweetie.
Now, for Hip-Hop.
I. am. truly. disappointed.
The parts where everyone from the Hip-Hop group entered the stage to dance, was messy, inorganised, and lacked impact. During such dances, everyone needs to Bam! on the step at the same time. It creates the Boom! for the audience, and leaves us breathless.
Hell, I trust my Secondary school to do better.
Other than those parts. I like the parts where it was a dance off between the guys and the girls. =DD
Oh, and most of the girls weren't even smiling. It's irritating as they don't even look like they are enjoying the dance! Now, how do you expect the audience to enjoy?
I know, there are parts where you mustn't smile, but there are other parts where you smile!!! Now pucker up those lips and show us you are enjoying the dance!
There was a number of really good dancers in TPDE. There was this girl who really reminded me of my ex-classmate back in KC. And her dancing style was quite similar to her too! =DD
Sencond half of the show Ok, for this half, I'm speechless.
I really liked it. A lot. it made me miss dance all over again. =( It made me want to watch the next year's one again. :) It's so difficult to read what you're thinking. -------- I can't believe you're half the reason why I wore that skirt. Well, that's the end of my friday. I hope you all enjoy your weekend! I'll be busy watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S!
