English Holiday homework is due tomorrow, and I have not finished it. I have only got the 5 articles, thus I'm not surprised if I have to sleep at 2am tonigct.

Come to think about it, why am I blogging when I have such important matters on my hands?
Oh Yeah, I wanted to type about my Chinese 'O' level oral.

Now, I wasn't panic-ing during school hours (oral was after school). But panic started to build up as I waited for my turn to take the exam. Wenying wasn't doing any better than I was. She was really worried during Art. The poor girl, but I think she'll do well for it.

To put a long story short, I think I did poorly for my reading section of the oral. the discussion sectione was okay...I hope.

Haha, the radio 93.3FM just played ZhiYang's song. I'm kinda surprised; I didn't expect his song going on air. Then again, I just started listening to the radio.

Talking about radio, I was listening to it during Art lesson. The DJ was telling a joke. Although the joke is a lame joke, it made me smile and giggle a little. It definitely broke the boring time I was having during Art. Thanks DJ :)

Okay, I had better do my English now, or else I'm gonna get into pretty deep trouble.

Just a quote before I leave:

School reopened and I am not all happy about it. The answer is really simple:
I do not want to take my 'O's.
Well, at least not now; I don't feel ready for it. Anyway, let's talk about today! Second day of school is pretty entertaining if you ask me.
So I saw Debbie holding some brown and green cubes which are connected together. It was one of those cube puzzle things. I love those puzzles. Anyway, the reason she was tackling the 'bloody' cube was because she's having a bet. Well, 2 bets, actually; the first bet lead to the second.
First bet:
So, a bet was made for Ning Rong. If she could complete the cube (3 by 3 by 3) by a certain time, she's safe. BUT, if she doesn't, she has got to FRENCH (yes, kiss with the tongue thingie) Zac. Yeah, I know; GROSS. Especially since Zac is some fat ass kid from the school across.
Result of 1st bet:
Ning Rong completed the cube, but Debbie isn't convinced. Thus...
The second bet:
Debbie's 'arrogance' got better of her. She thought, "Since Ning Rong can do it, I can DEFINITELY do it." So, the terms of the bet was: If Debbie completed the cube before 6pm today, Ning Rong has to smooch Zac TWICE. Here's the good part: If Debbie doesn't complete the cube by 6pm, Debbie has to FRENCH Daniel-something-something. Can't remember his name, but he's got a major crush on Deb. Haha.
Result of 2nd bet:
The cube was completed (but not by Debbie, Sarah the Genius did it. Go Sarah!). Shhh...;P
What a interesting day. Haha.

I can't believe it. Just a few more days and the holidays will just, "poof!", disappear. No! I want the holidays to stay. I haven't finished half the homework I received! Usually I wouldn't care about my holiday homework (except for English and maybe Art), but I received a considerably small amount of homework this time that I actually want(ed) to do it.

Wow, I cannot believe I just said that.

Anyway, the "To-Do-List" so that I'll do my work:

1) English Holiday Homework [currently untouched; I'm so disappointed in myself!]

2) Maths Homework [Just did all the Paper 1s' in that green booklet. I swear they made it green for a reason...EVIL...]

3) Social Studies Homework [I started on one of the essay questions; it is still unfinished. I have NO IDEA on how to tackle the SBQs]

Lastly,

4) Art Canvas [I am doing it, but it is not very well done. I am, once again, disappointed in myself]

Just 4 (sets) of holiday homework! This is much better than the 6 to 7 homework we used to get every June and Dec holidays.

I've been visiting Campus Superstar winner Huang Zhi Yang's Website. I must say his blog contains wonderful songs. The song on his blog right now is sung by THERESA (whee!) and he, himself. The title of the song is "Reaching Beyond" and it is the opening theme for the Singapore Youth Festival 2006! Theresa sounds great in that song =)

Talking about Blogs, I'm intending to change my blog skin. Question is, change it to what? I want to personalize my blog, but I have NO idea how to. I wonder how Mr. Ng does it... His blog is just so... Well, personalized. I mean, he's got his own head in there! (not literally, of course...)

Say, I haven't been exercising much lately, walking to school has always been my exercise. Since the School Hols started, exercising paused as well.

Okay, I have better stop blogging... I must finish this book, it's due tomorrow.

Sincere Smilez,
- Sakura

Hi to the people reading this blog (I doubt there's anyone reading it. I mean, come on... just look at the empty tag-board!) . I'm back from KL!!! Oh my, there's so much to type but I can't remember what to type! (Okay, that sounded weird) Overview on this trip before I enter the details: It was fun, back-breaking (due to the fact that I was kicked nearly every night) and fairly enjoyable. Details start here.

Day 1: 10 June
5 people took the coach to KL. The rest "squeezed" into the Picnic. OhmyGosh, that bloody coach took nearly 12 hours to get to KL. At least it was comfy in there (the coach). We reached KL at 4.30pm (around there). We took a cab to PNB Darby Park, which was my home for the next few days, and unpacked. Hey, 4 days in KL is worth unpacking. Let's see... what else happened on that day? Oh yeah, I got into a small quarrel with my cousin (female, let's call her C1), but then we said "Sorry" to each other. However, another cousin (also female, let's call her C2) started crying because C1 and I were "fighting" on the very first day in KL. Then C1 saw her cry so she ended up crying as well. The emotion from those two girls kind of flowed into me and I started crying as well (What? I'm emotional ya know). Haha, contagious crying. Of course, those tears dried up and we stopped crying (Duh...). So, that basically ended Day 1 in KL.

Day 2: 11 June
Oh, that day was certainly interesting. My family and I went for High Tea at the Revolving Restaurant. That was so cool. We entered the restaurant level and... and... okay, I do not know how to describe that feeling. If you readers ever get the chance to go KL, you must go there. It's the 4th tallest...something, can't remember... in the world. The CN tower in Canada is the tallest. One of Malaysia's pride and joy, I think. Anyway, we had High Tea there (mentioned). We entered the restaurant only to see pastries on the buffet table; so little food. BUT! Because it is a revolving restaurant, we did not bother to walk around or explore the place much. Some of us (mainly my Grands, cousins, and I) helped ourselves to the food on that buffet table. It was only after I put my plate down on the table when my Aunt said there was more food on the other side. The funny part was that those foods were like soup… that appetizer kind of food. So we left the dessert aside and helped ourselves to the "appetizers". History repeated itself when my Aunt to us that the “Main Course” kind of food was further down. In summary: We ate our food backwards (Dessert, Appetizer, Main course). Weird, huh?

Day 3: 12 June
That was the Day when my Mum was leaving for Sunway Lagoon; she wanted to attend some SPA seminar. My Aunt, Uncle and Grandpa drove up to Genting on that day too. So my Mum and Aunt Jas were in charge of taking care of us (the kids). We went to the KLCC Park and the kids (excluding me), played in the playground. I only tried this certain climbing thing and did not play anything else. There wasn't anything much anyways. The plan to go to Aquaria got cancelled as they open only at 3.00pm. So, we returned to the hotel and watched CSI. My Mum left around late afternoon... We explored the hotel a little, and that's all for that day.

Day 4: 13 June
Okay, I'll make this fast. The kids and I went for tennis and swimming. I lost a tennis ball (and I forgot to tell my Uncle about it... Oh no...). Oh yeah, before that, we went to the indoor theme park at [something] Times Square. I feel that the RM25.00 ticket was so wasted on me; I took only 2 miserable rides. Note to self: take more kiddy rides in theme parks with little Jean. We wanted to go to the arcade, but once again, there wasn't enough time. Dang it.
What I like about this night was the fact that it was the only night I slept without suffering from any "bruises". The first night wasn't that bad. The girls (that includes me) slept on the bed with C1 and C2 beside me. Sleepovers at C1's house taught me never to sleep near C1 at all. Trust me, she nearly punched me in her sleep once. Ekk. C2 wasn't that bad, although she does throw her hand on to me occasionally.
The second night was the worst of all 4 nights. This time, the girls were to sleep on the air-bed (which is smaller than the hotel bed) because C1 and C2 wanted to. The 2 boys slept on the bigger bed. What is so nice about the air-bed anyway? I think C1 wanted to sleep on it for its novelty. At least I was sleeping near the side of the bed. But that did not save me from C1's "sleep-boxing" that night. Ouch.
Then my Aunt found out about my sleeping "problem". So she offered the thin padding to lie on the floor for me to sleep on. I graciously accepted it. Finally, a night where I slept right through. No waking up in the middle of the night to cover the blanket over the 2 girls. No "sleep-boxing". That rest was good.

Day 5: 14 June
Nothing much happened on this Day. It was just the return trip from KL. This one was much faster then the first one. We arrived in Singapore at around 6.00pm (we left KL at 12.30pm).

So that's my holiday. It's nearly 3.00am... I've got some "Z"s to catch. Night.

Longing Smiles,
- Sakura

You have got to be kidding me. Art was never as tiring as this one. I feel like I've grown 20 years older. It didn't help when Debbie started calling me "Grandma Fishball" because I was making her doing her colour studies for her canvas. Seriously, she must make a little effort for her Art, even if she dislike the subject.

Disclaimer: If you (other than Debbie) calls me "Grandma Fishball", you'd wish you've never been born once I get my hands on you.

Let's see, art class started at 8.00am, but I reached school at 8.20am. I was in no rush really; I wanted to be late for art. However, my Art teacher (I shall refer my art teacher as "it" so as to stay safe. I don't want to get tracked down for "insulting" my teacher.) would not arrive till it was 9.30am. We knew he forgot about our lesson, again.

So we spent the whole day devoted to art (with breaks in between, of course) . Debbie suddenly became the "Miss Toilet Universe" with a roll of toilet paper on her head. Sarah and I took pictures of Debbie in the roll of toilet paper with our phones (that's her photo shoot). Then we took her speech, which went something like this:

"I want to thank my Mom, and My Dad... and I wish toilet cleanliness for all!"

What a memory to remember. Oh yeah, Debbie also brought in a sweet for Daphne. The packaging was very innocent: "I Love Singapore". However, the sweet itself wasn't all that innocent. It made the I-hardly-ever-cry Debbie and Daphne teared. I didn't dare to try it. The emotional me would probably be crying real rivers for Singapore.

Well, I'm tired. I spent 90% of my energy on paint my canvas, 9% of my remaining energy on bringing my canvas (which is half my size when held horizontally) home, and the last 1% typing this post. Time to sleep...zzzzzZZZZzzz...

Tired Smiles, - Sakura

Argh! I hate you SCV. Oh I HATE YOU I HATE YOUO I HATE YOU I HATE YOU! I wanted channels 51, 148, and 152! Why did you take my music channels away from me?! WHY!!!!

The night got "better" when I happen to tumble onto channel 18: Star Worlds. They were playing, "Charmed (Season 8)". Charmed!!! My all-time favorite (not to mention my very first) English series. Whee! Seriously, that was how elated I was when I saw the Charmed Sisters back on screen! However, I couldn't really catch up to the story as I believed I missed many episodes of it. The good news is that this episode ended with a cliffhanger that made me want to watch it next week. The bad news is that the next episode is the FINALE!!! So I went:

Oh I HATE YOU I HATE YOUO I HATE YOU I HATE YOU! Darn you Star Worlds! Channel 5 had better get it up soon... I wanna watch Charmed!

The episodes of CSI: Miami and CSI: NewYork were back-to-back episodes. Oh my gosh, I loved it. Bless my Bio teacher for reminding me that CSI shows are still on air.

Speaking of Bio, I have to check out some past files regarding pollution. Let's see... there were:
1) The dead otter
2) (Something about the sea getting polluted with salt... The Salton Sea, I think..)

There are many more... but I can't remember them right now.

Finally, I got my picture passport changed. I guess those rules can be a little bend-y (Is there such a word?). Now to prepare for the KL trip...

Nitez,

Yesterday afternoon was so bullshit. I had to change my passport because I had problems trying to get my butt into Malaysia last year. So my cousin and I went to the ICA building, but guess what? They said I can't change my passport picture because I am not of LEGAL age!

So this is why I'm going back today to get it changed. Can't they be flexible and allow me to change? I mean, it is just a few months before my birthday comes. Then again, that's how Singapore is.

I'm leaving for the ICA building once this rain stops. So let's talk about my day today.

Structured lessons again, but this time, I didn't want to be late; my English Teacher is very punctual. English lesson was very enjoyable today. We had fun finding our own 'voice', which is pretty important in English writing. We're going to learn how to use our five senses and apply them into our writing.

Biology was enjoyable as well. However, I asleep a little...Sorry Teacher. We learnt about how we, humans, are destorying the environment. It is really sad you know, Mother Nature must be very hurt. Thus, we must do what we can to protect the environment. We have about 10 years to walk back the path we took (I heard that on MTV's TRL).

I'll be having my Dance class tomorrow... I wonder how it would be.

Smiles,
- Sakura

Friday, June 02, 2006

Ok, I had the intention to post yesterday, until I remembered that I was going to be in school for more than 12 hours. Yesterday was tiring, both physically, and mentally. Then again, school is usually like that.

So yesterday started with me waking at 7.30am. Structured lessons starts at 8.00am. I reached school at 8.05am, and I wasn't late. Why? This is because the lessons I had so far taught me that teachers are always 5mins late. In fact, there was this once when my art teacher forgot about a supplementry lesson he gave. At least he rushed to school and treated each of us to a packet of Milo.

Anyway, I had Chemistry (yay!!! One and half hours of Chem!!!) and Art yesterday. We learnt more about Organic Chemistry, I must say that is was very interesting lesson, much better than the *ahem* boring 'Moles' chapter. This may explain why I am so poor in that particular chapter.

After Chem , we had Art. After a short neogotiation with my art teacher, we agreed on a 1 hour break for lunch at 12.30pm. I did not bring anything but my colour pencils to do my colour studies. He wanted us to start on our canvas after the lunch break. 5mins later, WenYing asked Madeline and Sarah, "How do you paint on the canvas?" I remembered someone asking the same question last week, so Madeline and Sarah gave the answer they heard last week, "You take a paintbrush, dip it in paint, and paint on the canvas!" Poor WenYing, her question wasn't answered.

Once our lunch break came, I went searching for my wallet. Guess what? I left it at home. That would explain the I-think-I-left-something-behind feeling I had when I left home. I went home to grab it after lunch (I borrowed money from Madeline). Like I said above, I brought only colour pencils for Art. Thus I grabbed my painting materials and my wallet when I got home. It's good to live near your school.

We started with our canvas, all the way to 6.00pm. The results on what everyone did cannot be put in a sentence. However, I have three words for it: Wonderful, Beautiful, and Unqiue. Everyone started packing, and Sarah decided to bring hers home. The canvas was nearly half her size and she's bringing it home. The poor girl, she got her uniform dirtied because of it. So she had no choice but to 'advertise' her Art work as she walks home.

Art lesson ended, but I still had to attend an Arts excursion held at the Esplanade. It started at 8.00pm and ended at around 10.30pm. Guess who's the guest of honor? The President and his Wife! Oh my Gosh, we had to be so well-behaved, but not many really was (including myself), at least in my own opinion. I saw my English teacher there in the Esplanade, and she looked furious, most likely because we were making nosie. If you ever read this, I sincerely apologise.

The trip back to school was sqeezy as Steffi (who's a little plump) and Sukhpreet (who's also a little plump) were sitting beside me. It was a seat meant for two people, but three were sharing it. I was in between them. Need I say more?

I returned home at 11.00pm. And the show was too deep for me to understand. We were given a feedback form. If there was space for me to write some comments on the choice of show the school picked, I have quite a bit to write. But I'll summarize it into point form:

1) The show was too deep. I can't understand what the performance was trying to depict.
2) The seats chosen was too far away. I wasn't able to see the faces of the performers.
3) The seats were to high up, I freaked out when I saw where I was last year.

Suggestions to improve students' opinion towards Arts Excursions:

1) Pick a performance that students will enjoy. Having shows like the one we had makes us confused, very confused. Musicals are recommended.
2) Please pick seats closer to the stage. Students appreciate it if we could at least see the rough details of the performers.

Thank You very much.

Okay, I am late for dinner. Ah Ma is gonna call me again unless I get my butt there right now.

Quick Smiles,
- Sakura
