Today was really fun, yet tiring. We had a choice between buisness or design for the first half of the day. I really do not like buisness; thus design was my choice.

They brought us on a tour around the Design Block. It was really interesting, seeing all the art works made by the design students there. After the first tour, I got kind of interested in Visual Communications. Interior design seems difficult...

Anyway, after lunch was 'Adventure'. My comment:

"It was one hell of an adventure."

Hot Sun, Pulling Heavy logs and balancing... Sounds tough?

Actually, it was really fun. :) Other than the fact that it was REALLY hot. I felt like a chicken cooking in the oven. :)

After that, we returned to the Convention Centre to watch Signapore Idol 2006, Hady Mirza perform!

Whoopi Doo...(-.-)

I didn't really watch Singapore Idol, only glimps of episodes here and there. I've heard Hady's voice a number of times, and I must say, this year's SI seems better than the previous.

I don't know; it's just my opinion. (Freedom of speech! *cheeky smile*)

I left a little earlier as I needed to go out for dinner.

I felt like I ate a lot during dinner. Must be the energy usage during TP RAWKS thing.

Ok, time to sleep! I get to wake up later tomorrow! Whoot!

Today was the first day for TP RAWKS programme.

Cass's parents fetched us to TP, and it was SUPER BIG.
We had to ask someone which way it is to the Convention Centre.

After we registered, we entered this place which is like a theater or something.
(Yes, it was that big.)

Basically, we had a ice-breaker (of sorts), and we moved on to our activities for the day. For the Yellow team, we had Sports and Applied Science.

For Sports, we had Dragon boating and a Dance workshop. I really liked the dance workshop, but it would have been better if I wasn't so shy or if i had someone WILLING to dance beside me :)

Cass and the rest were very shy during this dance workshop. I love the song:

Show Me The Money by Petey Pablo.

To listen to the song, click on the sixth play button. :)

For Dragon Boating, I saw Audrey! The one who used to be my senior in Chinese Orchestra :) So good to see her there :D

After lunch, we had Applied Sciences. It's mainly about Chem, Bio and Physic.
(Duh... they're SCIENCES!)

For the first 'station' we went to, they showed us the procedure on making soap from used cooking oil. However, we can't use it on our skins, as it's not fully tested yet.

Cassie left after the one on animals (OMGosh, the rabbits are SUPER CUTE!).

Anyway, we made our own pimple cream during the next 'station'. It was kinda gross as we started talking about how it looks like. Now, we know what the pimple cream we use were like once.
And I started to say:

"This reminds me of chocolate mint Ice-cream." Eeww.. (and I was the one who said it.. :P)

However, we can't use this pimple cream as it is not manufactured with the manufacturing rules. Something about exposed air contaminates the product.

Next, we made cinnamon raisin rolls!
Bio respiration chapter enters here. All the lactic acid and CO2 formed... etc.

After the whole Applied Science things are over, we returned to the place where the dance workshop was.

I slept while I could.. Hey, I was real tired.

The mass dance took quite some time to start.
And when it finally started, the group leaders showed us a demo.

The dance was really fun. :D

And they went:

"Do u know what comes after the mass dance everytime..?"
of course, we don't know, but the camp leaders do.

They told us to join in if we knew the steps...

and the chicken dance song came out!

de de de de de de.. de de de de de de .. da da da da! *clap clap clap clap*

We danced till about 6.30pm. With the mass dance and chicken dance again. :D

We still had to cheer after that. I was very tired.

Finally, we got to go home. It was an enjoyable day :D

I'm really irritated. Thus, I'm venting my irritation here.

There's the Temasek 3-day thing where students who signed up will get to experience what it is like to be in Poly. Or something like that.

Being the Career Guidance Rep, I got the job for 'guarding' that sheet of paper where everybody write their names and everything. There were a lot of people who signed up for it.

I got in. I really hoped that someone would be there with me.

Yesterday, I found out Cass and Deb 's registration got confirmed. Tell you the truth, I was really happy to know that they are going. REALLY happy.

I was so glad I wouldn't be alone. (again)

Then I found out that Debbie won't be going for God knows what reason.
Then Cass told me she probably won't be going for the last 2 days. It's a 3-days programme.

If that's what you want, to sign up and suddenly not go, then next time, might as well don't sign up and waste pen ink for writing your names down!

At least I know Gillian will be going... I hope she won't 'pon'.

I heard Shiqeen, Dian and Dinie are going as well. I wonder if they'll go for all 3 days. I really hope they do.

Okay, now that I'm done venting my anger and irritation, I'll just go.

Red,
- Crystal

After all the preparation, the big (not to mention, last) day is here! Graduation lunch at Swissotel!

It everyone looks great. Fellow schoolmates were wearing different coloured outfits, some in green, some in blue, etc.

Although, the food we got was kind of pathetic. There was one area for salads! Gosh, I was hoping to GAIN weight through this lunch!

Well, at least there were other stuff such as, mushroom soup (Yum!) and Bee-hoon.

Through out the whole lunch, only the mushroom soup was good. The rest of the food are fairly simple dishes. Example: Stir Fried Kailan with Garlic.

Oh, and I hope the school make exceptions for those vegetarian students next time. Sukhpreet barely ate anything!

The performance items were ok. Teresa sang, 'If we hold on together'. Touching song :) Some girls asked for an encore, which did happen a little later.

The dance item was not good. At least, not to KCdance Club standard. If any of you dance juniors are reading this, you need more energy, man! Anyway, thank you for performing for us :D

Of course, I got the pictures of Deb and Michelle, since I decided to help Grong :)

Basically, today was really enjoyable.

Happiness,
- Crystal

I had a dream last night. Let's just say that that dream made my day.

To all those girls out there, have you ever thought of what you look for in your Mr. Right?

I dreamt that I was in some place, watching something with my friends and him. I never got to see his face, but he gave me two pecks on my temple. Being next to this unknown person felt so right. The feelings towards this person is... difficult to explain.

I felt safe and secure with him. That's what I look for in a man.

If any of you felt something like this before, you'll know what I mean.

Grad is just tomorrow!

Happy,
- Crystal

I'm currently very satisfied. I finally got that red dress from Daniel Yam! I love my Mum!

I wanted to pay $50, since I've got it with me. However, Mum insisted on paying the full amount.

I felt so sad buying that dress which cost us S$114.45! Do you know how much Nasi Lemak I can buy with that money?!

Oh, and we got kinda lost at Orchard. Hey, neither of us were familiar with that place...

After getting the dress, dinner was the next problem. Like I said, we weren't familiar with the place, so we ended up looking for a food court nearest to us.

But we gave up and walked into Taka, towards the food court at B2. Guess what?

The food court was filled with people! We ended up buying take-aways to return to the comfort zone of our cosy home.

Except we returned home at 9pm+. It is because we took the bus home. Trust me,

It was a LONG ride.

Finally home, we ate our dinner (which was a little cold by now) and returned to our routine.

Currently, I'm listening to a song from Happy Feet.

Hit Me Up by Gia Farell.

It a catchy song :)
The Youtube one is it.
Anyway, here's the lyrics:

baby baby, just a little bit
baby baby, just a little more
baby baby, let me see ya
walk to me talk to me handle me right

I did cause a commotion
I can't help but make a scene
I ain't lookin for somethin premintent to get at me
Tell you what it's gonna be
You better step up your game
Before you can step with me

Can't you see me walkin through the door
Maybe I should turn it up a little bit more
I can't help but feel responsible
For what the girls hate
And the boys adore

say hey what's it gonna be tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey party with me tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey we been running all night
come hit me up
come hit me up
I know you feel it cause you checking me right
come hit me up
come hit me up
baby baby, just a little bit
baby baby, just a little more
baby baby, let me see ya
walk to me talk to me handle me right

i walk in jaws all be droppin
It's so electrified
Don't mean to intend my date
don't mean to make you loose your mind
if you want this work it for this
show me that you got what's right
you better make an impression
won't get another try

Can't you see me walkin through the door
Maybe I should turn it up a little bit more
I can't help but feel responsible
For what the girls hate
And the boys adore

say hey what's it gonna be tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey party with me tonight
come hit me up come hit me up
say hey we been running all night
come hit me up
come hit me up
I know you feel it cause you checking me right
come hit me up
come hit me up
baby baby, just a little bit
baby baby, just a little more
baby baby, let me see ya
walk to me talk to me handle me right

uhoh hey(x3)
ohhhhhh

say hey what's it gonna be tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey party with me tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey we been running all night
what's it gonna be tonight
I know you feel it cause you checking me right
come hit me up
come hit me up!
say hey what's it gonna be tonight

come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey we been running all night
come hit me up

I encountered an interesting... erm, Argument last night when I went out with my Mum and Dad.

There was this 'ang-moh' guy who asked a lady to put away her nail clipper, since he's about to eat.
Thus, the lady took the nail clipper and placed it closer to her.

The guy once again asked the lady to put it away... but with a louder voice.
After some 'hoo-haa' I didn't catch (I was eating), the guy went:

'That's disgusting!'

And moved away from the table to move to another one... far from the lady.

Thus, the lady went:

'Disgusting, disgusting.. What so disgusting?!'

When guy returned to get his remaining stuff, and the lady went:

'Egrrh!'

and as the guy was walking away, he did the same thing:

'Egrrh!'

and continued (under his breath) :

'Is this like a zoo or something?!'

Like, dude, you did the same thing!

As for today, I went out with Daphne and Gillian. We met up at Tanah Merah Train Station and got to Changi Airport. Then we spent at least 10 mins looking for the food court at T2. None of us took a filling breakfast...

After giving up, we went to T1 and ate at the food court there.
(I told you guys it was somewhere around Burger King!)

We took a cab to Salvation Army after that. We spent about S$6.50 each for the cab fare, and guess what?

It wasn't the Salvation Army thrift shop! It was the Salvation Army HEADQUATERS!

In simpler words, I wasted that S$6.50. My money...

After getting directions from the nice lady at the reception, we got on a bus 13 and finally, we got there!

I didn't get anything, but Daphne got a bag and a pair of shoes for S$14.00.
I was suppose to take note of what she's eye-ing at and get it for her as her (way) belated birthday gift. Sarah and I will be sharing the price.

However, after looking at the things she got, I'd feel bad as a friend if I got her those things. Especially since she gave me a Billabong T-shirt and a CD pouch.

Since we were not able to get anything from SA, we went to Far East. After many shops, Daphne decided to just wear black and not bother about the 'Rainbow Connection' theme.

After all, it's not like they'll get her to take off everything that's black and enter the Canning Room naked.

God forbid...

We went to Chamelon to check out some accessories. I must say, a certain necklace and a ring caught my interest, but it's due to their simplicity that it's expensive.

I'm still in search of a ring that fits both my third and fourth finger together. I'm not sure if there's a particular name for that sort of ring.

So, the trip was wasted. And I've still gotta get that dress... *crosses fingers*

Wishing,
- Crystal

Thursday, November 23, 2006

Woah, yesterday was tiring. We went to town (again) in search of the grad dresses for Sarah and I.

Anyway, we went to the Daniel Yam at Heren in search of the dress Sarah had her eyes on. She couldn't find it at Tangs. However, they found another dress. I must say, the cutting at the bottom reminds me of the bubble dress Daphne had her eyes on.

The top part of the dress looks good on Sarah, but the cutting at the bottom is something that I do not like...

Something caught my eye in that store, but nearly everything in there are over S$100.00!

We moved on from place to place in search my grad wear. Cassie was kinda focused on getting a skirt for me, as there's a top that suits me.

To tell you the truth, I really wanted a one-piece. It is because I hardly get to wear one, thus Graduation seems to be a perfect time to wear it. For once, I want to look different; to look more feminine.

Thus, after going all the way up and back down in Heren, I decided to return to Daniel Yam and tried on that red dress. I expected the dress to reach around my knee, but it went all the way to my ankles.

It turned out really nice! The lucky braclet really found something to my satisfaction. :)

The down side was that it cost S$114.00, which was WAY out of my budget.

Now I just have to convince my Mum on how nice that dress looks, and hope that she'll give me the green light on that dress.

*Crosses fingers*

Next stop was Tangs. It was raining, but we managed to get there dry. :)
Once again, we entered the expensive shop known as Daniel Yam (yes, there's one there as well) , and guess what?

Cassie found the dress Sarah originally wanted!

Then we ended up getting Sarah to wear different clothings. There was the one she originally wanted, and another strapless, indego-gold dress, and the dress her Mum picked for her, and another one which I can't remember...

After many discussions, we finally reached the crucial decision:

The green dress, or the indego-gold dress.

(This sounds as if it is a matter of life or death...)

Anyway, Fate decided that Sarah takes the indego-gold dress. There was only one green dress, size S, and the condition wasn't as good as the indego-gold one.

Thus, this ends Sarah's journey to find her Grad Dress.

We went to Far East after that to look for something for me. There were a lot of dresses that are nice, but I'm not sure if I'll be satisfied with it...

It's a feeling I get when I shop for things. If it is something I need, I look for the satisfaction that thing can give to me. It's kind of difficult to explain it, since it is a 'gut' feeling.

If I'm not satisfied with what I've gotten, I'll regret spending the money.

Today was really fun. We went Vivo City to watch 'Step Up'.

To tell you the truth, the movie was disappointing. I expected... something more. The dance was good though. The plot could have had more substance too. Like I said, disappointing movie.

After the movie, we went for lunch at Thai Express. We spent at least 15 mins to find its location. Did I mention that the food there was bloddy expensive?

After lunch was short window shopping. As I'm not one of those who goes excited over clothes and shoes, I was just walking around in hope to find something to wear for Grad. Some of the clothes there were nice, but the prices were even nicer ($<3>.00).

The arcade was next. As big as the arcade seems on the outside, it's way smaller on the inside. They only have Time Crisis 2. At least there's a Para Para. :)

Outside the arcade, was the pool place. The water level there is quite shallow; water reaches below my knee. It's really nice to soak your feet in there and take pictures.

During a pose for a photo shoot (this sounds so model), which Cassie reluctantly agreed, an accident happened. Ouch... That must have hurted quite a bit.

Lucky me, I was the one taking the picture. :P

They're okay now, that's good. :)

A little more window shopping and a short break, and we're on our way home.

That basically ends the day.

Now that the exams are over, I can finally relax.

However, I'm so relaxed that there barely anything to do...

Okay, so I'm supposed to study for my Science MCQ, I can do that later.

Anyway, I finally tidied my room! All those junk place near the window, and those on my bed, all gone! Cleared away! Woot!

Now, who should I give my textbooks to? Which junior of mine is gonna suffer?

Ok, technically, all of them are gonna suffer from the wrath of the O levels .

However, I want to see who wants some of my textbooks which holds valuble infomation to their exams.

(Rubbish, there are loads of doodles in my Bio and Social Studies Textbooks.)

ANYWAY,

to any Sec 3E and 4NA of 2006, avaliable textbooks to give here. I'm also selling my Core Geog TYS and E. Geog TYS. They are clean, VERY clean. Especially the Core Geog one. I don't take Core Geography.

I'm going out with Cass, Nessa, Cory and hopefully, Sarah. I need to look for something to wear for Graduation. I hope to find something to my like-ing at Far-East.

Wish me luck.

Over and over and over,
Crystal
