The plan today was to go out to Grand Seasons and get Daphne's pay check.
Read that sentence again, I said: Daphne's pay check.
I didn't expect to get mine as well. I thought That since I worked for only 2 days, I won't get anything. Afterall, I thought I had to work for a minimum of 3 days to get paid.
But after 2 days of work, I received an amount of $84.50. =DDDDD
For 2 days of slack working, I'd say I got off good. =)
--------------------------
And I baked cookies today! The recipe I used was the one I took off the Hershey's semisweet chocolate chip wrapper. I was flipping through my recipe file (yes, I do have a recipe file), and I saw that little piece of plastic with the recipe on it.
It's really simple recipe, and I got all the ingredients I need at home. The best part was:
I didn't even had to use the eletric mixer! Thus, easy cleaning for me!!! Woot!
So, I officially say that baking cookies are easier than baking cakes. =DD
And also, I used icing sugar instead of granulated sugar, I added about 5-6 tablespoons.
INGREDIENTS
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tap salt 1 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 eggs 2 cups Hershey's semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
METHOD
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees C. 2. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. 3. In another mixing bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown suagr and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until creamy. 4. Add eggs; beat well. 5. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. 6. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. 7. Bake 8-10 mins or until lightly browned. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
