I believe some people wonder why I'm not afraid of walking home alone at night. Most females would most certainly like 'bodyguards' to fetch them home.
True, most females like the sense of security. Well, I'm just like them. Except that I'm not all that afraid of walking home alone.
My friends and family members make sure I get home safely but making me call them or sms them once I'm home. But I tend to forget. Thus, they call up my house and see if I've returned. Thanks people, that's really nice of you.
Back to the question: Why am I not afraid of walking home alone?
To tell you the truth, I really don't know.
Maybe it's because I know my neighbourhood well enough to not choose the secluded roads. Then again, everywhere seems secluded during the night.
I know why now! I think I know the reason as to why I'm not all that afraid to walk home alone!
I know self defence. Not that I really tried it out on anyone, but I believe I can protect myself. If anyone wants to rape, they'll not choose me. I'm not a suitable victim. I'm not an easy target.
Besides, this is Singapore. All you have to do is SCREAM REALLY LOUD, and all the 'kaypo' aunties will poke their heads out and see what's going on.
Thanks aunties. Without you, Singapore would be so dangerous.
